You can probably get a drain clamp at Home Depot...
You can probably get a drain clamp at Home Depot or Lowes, that will allow you to connect a 3/8" drainline to it. I used to use these for the drain for reverse osmosis systems.

There probably already is a gasket or plumbers...
There probably already is a gasket or plumbers putty underneath, but wouldn't hurt at all to put a very thin bead of caulk around them.

Personally, I'd go with the one with more power. I bought an 18volt dewalt about 3 months ago, and love it. Check with Amazon. It came with 2 batteries and charger for $119.00. The 14.4v may work...
