Should my returns have cold air coming out of them??

I have 2 returns in my house. when the heat is not on and it is cold,I can feel cold air coming out of them.

Is this normal??

Why do refigs need a dedicated circuit??

I have read many time that refrigerators always need a dedicated circuit and that nothing can be taken off of it.

Is this true?? If so,why?

When painting interior w texture,how many coats do you put on?? Everytime I paint new drywall with texture,I prime and then paint. But for whatever reason the first coat always comes out uneven.

how many outlets can 1 GFI protect

I have been told to locate my GFI at the end of a run of outlets. That way all of them before it will be protected.

But is there a limit to how many they can protect??

I ahve 2 of them . a shop vac and a ridgid.filters get plugged up real easy. any tips on how to vac drywall dust. Bags might be the way,but they are pricey

Thanks for the info. If you look at the left corner that is where the siding starts. I have a feeling that when I take off the siding,there will be no foundation or it will be very short.

Why was fiberboard used as sheathing in the 70's?

My house was built in 1976. the "sheathing" is black fiberboard. I have heard some refer to it as sound board. I hate this stuff.

I ired my Whole hoyse for cable Tv,Sat and cat5 cable. Lot of work but doable for the Average DIYer. Need fishtape,a glowfish and drill and bits and drywall saw and you are ready to learn;)
