Gas Water Heater Turns On & Off All Day!

My gas water heater heats water just fine. It works as normal in terms of temperature. The pilot light stays on as well.

It is actually a gas water heater. It has stopped for the time being with the cycling ..which may tell me it is the thermostat. IF it is the thermostat (and i will check everything else as well)...
