Default Weedwacker

Before we got married my wife bought a really good Craftsman trimmer from Sears. She specifically chose this particular model because it wasn't a spool feed (instead you have to feed one pre-cut line at a time). Unfortunately, I think the trimmer's days are numbered. I've searched at our local hardware stores, but I haven't been able to find a trimmer like the one my wife bought. She has her heart set on this particular model because she finds it so much easier to operate in comparison to the trimmers with the spool. Can any one point me in the right direction towards finding a trimmer similar to the one we have?

It's a Craftsman, model # 358.745350.
Here's a link to a copy of the instruction manual which describes how the line is fed into the trimmer: https://www.manualslib.com/manual/48...?page=9#manual

Thanks in advance for any advice!

Could you take the spool off the old one and put it on a new one?

They have replacement heads like that. I have an Echo trimmer from Home Depot that uses the pieces of trimmer string instead of a spool. It also accepts different tools. I can't tell from the link if this has the same head as mine. Mine is 5 or 6 years old now.
