I'm a firsttime homeowner (this is my husband's third home) - and we purchased a fixer upper near South Minneapolis. Built in 1958, the house has had little work done to it since it was built. We (and an architect and contractor) took on a massive project - gutting the entire main floor and making it livable.

Now, onto the other bathrooms, basement, etc.

I think I'm the type to bite off more than I can chew... so I need help restraining myself from going overboard!

You'll be fine just be patient and welcome to House Repair Talk. Don't forget to post pics of your progress.

I'm currently renovating my 1922 Chicago Bungalow which is really draining me, both financially and physically so I feel your pain.
