My whirlpool tub's faucet is leaking. To fix it, I removed the clear cap and there is a metal collar underneath that does not come off. It freely turns to right or left, and it feels like it is not screwed or attached to anything. The nut at the top is where the clear cap was screwed at. When I turn the nut, it controls the water. The metal ring under the nut is soldered to the nut and they move together. The ring seems like it holds the metal collar in place so that the collar doesn't come off when you pull it. There isn't an access panel anywhere near the faucets and I don't know the brand of them or the tub. How can I remove the metal collar so that I can access what is inside and hopefully fix the leak? I've attached a couple of images of the faucet.
