I am trying to push some additional air out through gravity heater and not having much success. We put in Y vent to get additional heat to go into downstairs room and it's not working properly. To get the heat to get pushed through duct (horizontal to heater) we installed a fan. The fan immediately shorted out within 10 minutes, so we got a more powerful, heat-resistant fan and it too burned up and melted the fan. What other options do we have. Any ideas here. I can't use the room downstairs at all until this is resolved.
