I need a new AC and Furnace as my current ones are around 30 years old. An HVAC company quoted me for the following Ameristar products. He mentioned that Ameristar products are basically Trane products with same reliability and interchangeable parts. Trane is more expensive due to the marketing effort behind it. I've been browsing the forums and I do see mixed opinions so just wanted to get your take.
I am OK with the price quoted and a 2 year labor warranty from the company plus the standard 10 year warranty on the parts. Are the below as good as if I went with Trane or Carrier? Thanks in advance.
