Hello. I've done a fair amount of diy projects on my home in the last 5 years. Lately I've been doing a lot of work on the kitchen and I have just one thing left to do. The back splash. Its not a big kitchen the back is approximately 18 inches (about 10 inches high behind the sink) by 11 feet.
I'm going to go with a mosaic tile on a mesh. I'm able to borrow a wet saw from a friend. Hopefully there won't be too much cutting needed. The wall that I'm going to put the tile on it, I've sanded as smooth as I can get and have primed it.
I'm hoping to start this project at the end of September.
The first question, I'm thinking of another coat of primer. I want to do some additional light sanding to get a smoother surface and after I'd like to prime another coat. How long should I wait before putting up the tile?
I've never done any tiling before so if anyone has some good advice, tips or helpful links I'd be grateful.
