I have a natural oak hardwood flooring installed in an entry way that has been water damaged. I need about 8 planks/boards. The flooring is about 6-7 years old and I can't find the thickness I need. Any ideas? Planing down the new stuff at Home Depot won't work because it only the bottom can be planed. The old floor is 3 layers of random wood with a veneer top. The new stuff is all about 5 layers.

My question is......

If a large area, might be worth patching, if small, why not just redo it all?
