I'm planning on relocating my kitchen sink from a corner to about 50" further down the wall. My question is what to do about the vent.

The current vent is on the outside wall and goes straight up to the roof. Nothing else is connected to the drain system in this area.

Would I be able to run the vent horizontally and be ok or would I need to install a new vent through the roof closer to the new location?

Thanks,
Rut

Run the pipe horizontally and connect it to the existing pipe.

That would depend on the total length of the horizontal arm before it reaches the vent.

Is it 50" plus the old distance which is?
Or,
50" closer to the vent?
