Hi.

I have an area of around 50m2 of decking that I would like to neaten up.

It has been down for around 2 years and has turned a weathered grey.

I would like to know what is the best product to use. I would prefer to use a sprayer as I already have it and it is a lot quicker.

Many thanks.

At here, I put some method for cleaning composite decking, hoping it will help you.

For the Rust
1. Use water(and soap) and a scrub-sponge
2. In case of heavy rust, use a cleanser containing lemon acid(e.g. Sanicit)
3. Rinse with water

For Oil
1. Remove immediately the oil and clean with degreasing agent. Rinse with water and soap.
2. If stains have set into the material, they are hard to remove. Fine sandpaper can be used, and following the wood grain the tarnished surface can be removed.

For Greasy Stains
1. Remove immediately the grease and clean with degreasing agent or soap.
2. If stains have set into the material, they are hard to remove. Fine sandpaper can be used, and following the wood grain the tarnished surface can be removed.
3. Rinse with (warm)water.

Best stain for cedar decks in a water-based product is deck stain for hardwoods. This is a synthetic and semi-transparent deck sealer and also works well on composite woods
