I was at a home depot and they were selling a batch of 140 ft for $34. It listed as windows & door molding. Can I use it as floor? This is for the living room. The molding is 2 1/4 inch height which is the same as my current.

Is there any differences in terms of fitment? The sales guy told me the floor molding was made for water contact :)

As far as I know all trim (door, window & floor) is made out of the same material.
Floor trim doesn't seem to be as thick as window & door trim. So you might end up with a weird looking joint where the floor trim meets up with door tirm.

Thanks guys. I will replace the door trim too. The last time I did the trim for the whole house, I use the same molding for door and floor (never was aware of such differences besides height).
