I have a Permanent Wood Foundation (PWF)house and some of the wood is drying and cracking from the sun neating on it. My question is can I cover it with 4x8 sheets of PVC boards 3/4 in thick? If I can do I need to do anything special? Can I just screw it on? Is there any other alternatives?

Vynil siding comes in all kinds of shapes and sizes, check your local lumber yard.
And you could always paint it to protect it from the UV rays of the sun.
