We change the filter everymonth, shoes come off, and for some reason, there is TONS of dust, ONLY in my room. I accumulates on my computer screen and TV, it gets really annoying.I vacume and dust allot but it keeps coming back within an hour.

Heat from the the computer stuff creates air flow that is different than any other room and the static attract dust. I too am hoping someone has a suggestion.

Have you tried a stand-alone air filtration unit?
I run a Holmes air purifier in my room and it seems to work well.

I dont think it can ever be totally avoided, I just do my weekly minimal cleaning to avoid build up of dusts :)

What type heat do you use? If it's forsed hot air then buy a better grade Hepa filter. An electronic static filter should be able to be added to the return air line, run a humidifirer. Add filters to eash of your floor registers. There sold at Lowes, HD any hardware store.
