Hello,
My husband disconnected the auxiliary heat wire at the tstat (Honeywell Chemotherm III) because he couldn't adjust it to not come on with more than a 2 degree temperature difference.
My concern is that the auxiliary heat light still comes on. He said that it's probably just the tstat calling for it to come on but the aux heat is not on.
The meter spins about the same with the light on and off.
Has anyone else done this and the light still comes on?
Thanks!

Hubby is correct, don't worry however, you may want to consider a Tstat with an offset/differential setting so that heat won't come on with more than X degrees of difference.

I had one that the emergency heat function could be cut off.
