Anyone have one?
Amazon has a 7 amp Pacific International Shear SS404 for $269,
and there's a 5 amp Snapper Steelhead SS304 manufactured by Kett on Ebay for $160,
and there's a Malco FCS hand snip on amazon for about $30.
I called my local rental center and they don't carry them, so I'm gonna have to invest.
Is there a huge difference between the 5amp and the 7amp? (sorry for dumb questions, me is rookie)
Any of you guys ever used one of these? I've heard the electric shears are the way to go with the Hardie Panels. We're installing 4x10 sheets of it on our house, hope it gets lighter as we cut away - that stuff is heavy!
thanks for any input!

Whelp,
I went ahead and ordered the Pac Int SS404, so I'll update when I get the siding up!

The update:
TWO THUMBS UP! And if I had another thumb, I'd throw that one up too :) These shears are awesome, I can't imagine using anything else to cut Hardie Panels.

Awww, and to think, you could be choking on dust from a saw...
Glad it's working out well for you.
Please do us a favor and take pictures of the job as it progresses.
Maybe even a few of those shears being used.
We all love pics!

That's a good idea. As soon as it drys up around here I'll get an action shot or two ;)
