Well.... worse has come to worse on the outside of the house:mad: ... we had to call in the pros on this one:( . The porch is condemnable (Spelling??) and we have to get the wood stuff ripped off the side of the house cuz it's rotted and (go figure) has no insulation  between that and the plater and late that makes up our walls. Upper window is about to fall in and get replaced... so that is one less thing we have to get done before we finish the attic.

So... question is.... what is concrete siding... and what kind of insulation should we have the contactor use??

Concrete siding is relatively new.
Very tough and durable.
Blown in insulation is good in a situation like this.
Closed cell foam would be good too, but expensive.
Consider a foam fanfold right before the siding is installed.
It's only 1/4" thick, but it helps prevent condensation on the back side of the siding.
