want to begin a dog care and activity company like walking and running and stuff. anybody know what you have to do, special insurance or anything, so if something occurs at an owners house while under your care, that you are covered and stuff?

Ask Erie and Nationwide if they offer policies on this.

Definitely check with your insurance agent and let them know what you plan on doing.
I think they will have a commercial umbrella policy that will cover just about any incident that comes your way in the course of conducting your buiness.

In many states you need a specific type of liability insurance for this type of business. If not required you should still get it to protect yourself from liabilities that can arise. If you're under watch of a dog for example and it bites someone YOUR liable, not the owner. Consider operating it all under a L.L.C. to further separate your personal liability.
