Just pulled the carpet out of my new 67yr old house. The floors are in pretty decent shape they just need to be cleaned. Most floor cleaners I can find specify what type of finish they can be used on. I have no idea what is on this floor and am hesitant on using anything. Is there anyway to find out? If it helps the planks of the floor are only 1/4" thick and they appear to be natural color. Thanks.

Something like Murphys oil soap is touted for this purpose and is pretty mild. Just go easy on getting things too wet. Clean an inconspicuous spot first and see how things go.
