I am thinking about either adding on to deck or building a new deck next summer. It is on the ground floor and I want to remove the old deck I have and use it for a lower tier. I would like to have a 3 tier deck including a main, lower tier, and one small tier for a hot tub. I am going to get some estimates from contractors but I think this is a project I would like to have for next summer. Has anybody tried anything like this before and would a contractor have a problem with using the old deck section?
