All I can find in GFCI receptacles are the ones that the neutral and hot ports
are side by side. When you plug in some of the long transformer plugs it
covers up both of the plug in places.

I have one installed that does not do that. It has the neutral port and the
hot port on up and down which makes the ground port on the side. This does
not cover up both of the receptacles when using a transformer that is longer
than it is wide.

I can't find any GFCI other than the traditional ones where the ground port
is either on the top or the bottom depending which way you install it.

Does anyone know where I can find GFCI outlet receptacles that have the
ground on the side? What do I need to call the GFCI like I want when hunting them on google?

Thanks

Haven't seen one like that but you do have options. If it is wired correctly and you have outlets down stream they would be protected. Or you could just use one of those splitters that give you 6 outlets.
