I need some information on how to cut a 5'x3' hole into a supporting cinder block wall. Do I need to support the wall, or can u just cut and then put wood on the perimeter of the opening. Im going to put plexigrlass in the opening.

The wall is cinder block and the ceiling above it is steel and concrete floor. the part of the wall im doing is on the first floor of a two floor building. I think the wall is a supporting wall, because it is the only wall for like a fourty foot span.

I think you need an engineer to look this over. Then you will know if you can do it or maybe you might need a pro to do the work.
