I am in the process of building a Koi pond and not sure if I should add Plecos or catfish to help clean it. Any suggestions? Are there any other bottom feeders that consume more than those two?

There are actuall Koi bottom feeders however Plecs will eat more than any other bottom feeder though how big is your pond??? Plecs can get HUGE!!!

Plecs will eat the most. In a 155 gallon tank I have two, one is like 10"-12".

For anyone browsing this thread that is a bit old...
You should understand that catfish in general are opportunistic scavengers, and plecos are specialized grazers of wood and plant/algae matter. They do NOT eat fish waste, but scavenge what is not used by other fish. For the best results, avoid the temptation to overfeed your fish. They will be healthier, and the water will stay cleaner. Whatever you feed them now, give them 1/3. I promise, they wont die of starvation.
