I live in an old farm house, and I have a back room with several windows. The windows are original, and replacing them is not an option right now. Structurally, they are ok; they are not rotting out or anything, but I'm sure there is a lot of air that creeps in around them.

I would like to seal the cracks from the inside. I have heard of string putty, but I was wondering if there is a caulk made to be applied to the interior of the window that could be easily removed come spring without taking the paint off.

There are several sizes of self adhesive foam weather stripping, which would be far more user friendly.

I suppose that would be best. I don't know why I didn't think of the obvious. Thanks.
