Here's a question I have no answer to. I'm sure Kelebay can answer it.

Once 100% silicone is smeared on anodized aluminum how the heck do you remove it without damaging the aluminum? Is there a chemical that will soften and remove the 100% silicone?

I found that just rubbing it off with your fingers works for me.

Silicone caulk should rub right off of anodized aluminum, just as Kok suggests.

It sticks particularily well to anything with a lot of silicon in it, like glass, but it should be a simple matter of getting it off of aluminum.

That's the only way that you can be sure that the area is completely free of silicone caulk.

Or, the other "only way" is to use xylol (xylene). I just learned that today.:)
