I'm going to finish a shop in my basement, should I drylok the concrete just for preventive matters. Could it hurt anything?

Concrete can absorb water from the ground so you need vapour barrier behind the drywall and if you are framing in a wall the would does not want to touch the concrete.

Go for it, it can't hurt and it does slow down the migration on water...if there is any.
The downside is, it may peel if there is alot of water behind the wall, and it is not a "waterproof" solution.

Try it out, and tell us what you think.:welcome:
