We just cut back our ivy where it was damaged and died. We love it and want it to grow back. It's about a 10' x 10' area. How long does it take to cover again?

We put down plants, mulch and bordered the area in rocks instead of keeping it bare. Will this keep the ivy from growing back again?

Are there roots under the ground where we removed it that will grow up or will grow down from the upper area and take hold of the ground?

Thanks

Some people love it. I suggest putting an ad in the paper for sale or for free.
I bet it will be gone in no time!

I have had good luck with making cuttings and letting them root in water. Then plant the cuttings into the dirt in a grid pattern and jump back. This stuff grows like crazy, even in the shade.
