Hi, I recently built a house and the builder installed 2 "Frost Free Water Taps" but I was never shown how to drain the water? I understand the operation of them but I've been trying to shut the taps off and drain them just so I know how to do it when winter comes but for some reason it is not working? I've looked online but all I find is how to install them not how to maintain them. Help!
Thanks

That's the beauty of frost free spigots, you don't have to drain them.
At best, if you have a shut off valve inside, turn that off and then open the spigot and leave it that way til spring.

The only thing you have to do is disconnect the hose. The valve is 7 to 10 inches behind the handle so it stays warm on the inside of the house.
