We have a combo unit at our church which was put in new a couple of years ago. I estimate the church is between 1000-1200 sq. feet. When we turn the air on 72, for example, it does fine until the room becomes full and time passes. By the end of church, the thermostat can often be on 79 or 80 and the unit is constantly running.
Everybody seems satisfied that it's just one of those things. Some say the insulation is not good, and others say it's just tough to cool when all those people get in there, but I say setting your thermostat to 72 and it being 80 in an hour isn't normal.
My only question is: something is wrong, right? That's not normal.
