Ok guys, im about to tile my shower. Im thinking of using 6" or 8" tile for the job. My q is this, what does the spacing need to be between the tiles. Can i use sanded grout, or is this a no no. Im using hardie backer.;)

Another q, how can i get ideas on what tile, style, color, design, etc.:D

Thanks:)

The spacing is an aesthetic choice and will dictate the type of grout you are using. Sanded grout for larger grout lines, un-sanded for small grout lines. Some tiles may have spacers built in (the smaller tiles anyway). That spacing will by a typical space not a required space.

From a design perspective usually smaller tiles = smaller grout line. Larger tiles, or more irregular tiles will have a larger grout line.

I like 1/8 lines on everything (aside from marble that is) but its up to the installer :) Sanded for EVERYTHING 1/8 or larger :)

If you need ideas check different tile websites like dal-tile.com :) Good luck and dont forget pics !
