I was going to pour a small patio a year ago using bags of redimix concrete. Of course, I didn't get around to it and now the bags are hard as rocks. Is there any way to use this material or should I toss it out?

Hello Glenni and Welcome to the Forum:
Sorry, once the concrete sets it is no longer any good except for filler. Even suppliers lose a bag here and there by moisture gain. Better luck next time.

I saw one clever person create a retaining wall with hardened bags of redimix. It did take a long time for the paper to rot off though....

actually there is a way to use it.

use a sledge hammer to break it into 1/4-3/4 chunks then add sand and cement and not too much water...don't want weak concrete.
