My unit is running but we are not getting cold air.
I think just the fan is working.
Both air intake filters are o.k.
The condenser outside was cleaned ( dirt off fins) and there is white/frost on the round canister and some of the hoses leading to it.
What is the next step.
I have a Rheem unit.

PS I would be having a party with now air during this New England heat wave!
 
Only a hands-on diagnostics will reveal the true problem but, from experience it sounds like your system is low on Freon.
This is something that typically has to be done by a service tech that has the Freon, equipment/tools & knowledge.
 
Now it works????????
I found a filter I never knew about!
Unit is from 2005 and they never removed the bracket that holds the filter for shipping.
We shut the unit down for 1/2 day now works:banana:??
still have a guy coming tomorrow.
