you have to go out (half hour drive),
poke around, no trouble found because it's intermittent,
and then leave?
He did point me in the direction of the inducer motor PC board and I eventually found the motor relay contacts were almost totally gone after 31 years and so I ordered a comparable relay from Digi-Key for $11, inclu. shipping.
I sanded what was left of the contacts so they might hold for the four days until the relay gets here.
