I am not an expert on the subject but I think most vinyl windows come apart like he did. the removable strip may be on the inside or the outside.
Go find some outfit that sells this product and ask them how it is done or find the outfit where you will go for replacement glass and ask them for pointers, take pictures of the inside and outside with you.
