Hi folks,
I'm installing an exterior door on a patio that had a 32" high block wall and screening.
Using 2x6pt for the rough door opening. I have to keep, and add on to, the original block wall.
I have about 29" of opening to fill (4 courses of block) and above it will be wood framed.
My question is do I just butt the block tight to the PT door frame? Do I use mortar between the block and PT?
I was also thinking I should nail galvanized strapping between the courses to tie into the PT.
Thanks.
