We are in the process of replacing our approximate 300 square foot front porch. the footers have begun to sink; the roof is now bowing under the weight. Anyway, I'd like to replace my 4 round posts with 4 square ones. Assuming the posts are in good condition (they appear to be on the outside; see more once they come down) If I were to sell them; how much do these go for? They are approximately 7 feet high and there's 4 of them. Most of my neighbors are telling me NOT to give them away; but I don't know the market on these. Oh, yeah, my house is classified a "victorian colonial" and was built in 1902. Let's assume the posts are the original ones; the contractor seems to think so.
