I had someone come and build a wooden shed on my land about ten years

ago. I asked them to put it over a wooden platform that I built. Otherwise

the shed would have had a dirt floor.

The first problem is that mice get in through the cracks between the platform and the shed walls.

Next, I have also noticed the wood of the platform which extends two or three feet outside the shed is starting to rot and get warped. I was wondering if I should cover this shed-floor with cement.

I wondered what problems I might encounter since I have only worked with cement about two or three times in my whole life.

First, does it even make sense to cover a rotting and warping wooden floor with cement?
Next, does it make sense for me to seal up the cracks where the mice get in with cement?

I have also been told that you can stop wood from rotting by painting over it
and I was not sure if this was really a trustworthy approach.

Please offer some guidance.

Oh, and the shed itself is still in good shape.

sure he tried to talk you OUT of that design back then but here goes !

first problem - wire mesh but only if you don't want to allow mice entry !

somehow figure out how to get the proper vapor barrier under the shed.

cement will not adhere to woodt encounter since I have only worked with cement about two or three times in my whole life.

never makes any sense to cover rotting anything to me
