Only way I know is take your saw and cut the siding straight up the roof line the width of a treated board. Remove that siding and slip a Z bend drip
Edge up under the siding that will cap the treated board. Do your shingles and step flashing as normal. Stain or paint the treated board and slip it under the Z and attach to the studs.
