Our dishwasher isn't draining fully. It isn't leaking, but even at the end of the cycle, there is standing water. When it hits the dry cycle, you can smell the heat.
Ideas?
 
The drain hose should have a high loop in it so the last of the water will siphon out when the pump shut off or that water can fall back into the washer.
 
It has never had water in the bottom ever in the last 8 years...
 
I guess it could be a failed check valve.
 
Check the screen at the bottom of the tub, There is usually one attached to the drain line at the bottom where it leaves the tub from the inside. If you break a glass or other parts get clogged down there it will not ruin your impeller. Usually you need to unscrew some parts, That's all I have.:D
