This morning I was putting up drywall (overhead of the garage door) and ended up using a staple gun. Some staples got in between the wires which I removed and re-stapled again (I am guessing it ripped the wire).

As a result, I can't close the garage door unless I have to hold down the button. I will rerun new wires tomorrow. If the issue isn't fix, I am looking at changing the sensor. Will the chamberlin model work for my genie brand? HD & lowes sell chamberlin brand.

Btw, the lid indicator didn't come on both sides. Also, what gauge wire should I use?

TIA,
tntrac
