I know lawn care isn't rocket science, but is there a better time of day than others to water the lawn? I see people water first thing in the morning, others like me in the evening. Is one better than the other? I have a mediocre lawn. Weed free, some dead spots, but mostly even grass, but it has a lot of brown mixed in. I water three times a week for about an hour. Too much? I want to put it over the top, but I don't want to just throw down a bunch of ironite and call it good. Any ideas?

Mornings are best, before the sun gets up and evaporates it all away.

Evening watering allows time during the dark hours, for mold to grow.
