I'm repainting room where ceiling comes down to meet 4 foot knee-wall. Drywall seam is uneven so I don't have a sharp, straight line where the two different colors meet. Am thinking along the lines of a chair-rail type border or smaller molding installed horizontally instead of following the seam of the drywall to create a neat, straight line between the colors. Ideas? Comments? Thanks much!

I have seen all kinds of things tried. This is a tricky corner to fill so you are not alone with this one. I found the best was to just tape a line and paint it. Just measure up the same distance from the floor on both ends and two people pull the tape tight and stick it on.

I have to agree with nealtw. Any molding you put up there will have a gap in the low spots of the wall and require caulk to fill it in and will not look right.
