I have a 25cc, Craftsman Weed Wacker. It is about 4 years old.

It was not starting at all and I found that the fuel hoses had deteroriated and the carb needed cleaning.

After doing that, the machine starts but on pressing the throttle, it stalls completely. There is a single screw and a two set (H & L) adjustment screw.
Is the H&L screw very easy to turn or needs some traction. I used a crimp piece and am not sure if it turned or no.

Can anyone advise what screw needs adjustment.

Thanks

You probably need a good carb cleaning far more than you need to adjust the high or low screws. Most likely, some tiny pieces of some junk got into the carb.

the H & L screws should be set to 1-1.5 turns out from seated. the third and larger screw is your low idle speed screw. once you have it running, you just have to fiddle with the adjustments to make it run smooth. just make sure you don't lean out the high speed too much, as you will seize the engine
