I am about to start residing,and we have a pipe attached to the house which contains the electrical wires from the pole in the yard,right now it is nailed to the wood siding and I will be putting vinyl on, how do I go about reattaching the pipe to the house?
 
What ever material you intend to use to trim the doors and windows. Use that to put behind the pipe so it looks good and bring the siding to that just like you will around the windows.
While I'm thinking about it up here many of the siding guys are now using 1 1/2" material for trim and cut out the back so it covers the J trim, at a glance the house looks like it has harder siding.
 
Thanks Neal,I never thought of that, I was thinking there was some complicated cut this bend that nail this and it will stay.
