built in the 80s reportedly has 10A breakers in the load center. How is this possible?

I'll see if I can get the guy to send me a photo.

Possible on some manufactured homes. They have a different set of rules. Like when you get a home from a prebuilt...there are no local inspections on the inside of the walls. But it still gets accepted in your town as long as someone signs off from an outside firm.
I see some weird stuff out there....in prebuilt homes I mean. :D
So they may have #16 AWG or smaller on 10A breakers?

Thanks. I'll see if I can get more info from the guy.

His breaker is tripping after a time when he turns on the microwave so it's acting like a 15A breaker that's somewhat overloaded. I can't see a 10A breaker putting up with a microwave or a hair dryer for more than a minute or so.
