Is there any way to use a square junction box for a light in ceiling since it holds more wiring than the octagon one.maybe a piece that adapts it?
I have more wiring than what the current box, octagon, is allowed.2 14/3 ,2 14/2 and 1 12/2 are what I have now an light needs to go there.
Any info is appreciated

A 4-in. junction box should solve your box-fill problem. Throw on a single round light exterior plaster ring so that it is flush with the ceiling. Now you have a box large enough (I think) to accommodate your wire load.

Thanks, will that allow me to use the piece that holds fixture to box, with the holes for fixture to hang on..can u send a pic
