Hello. We moved into a home last August and there was a cheap corner shower in the basement BR.
We have never used this shower, so it hasn't seen water in this since then at least.

Attached are pics of what the concrete and drain look like immediately after removing the pan.

We live in the mountains and had record breaking snowfall this year so the ground water is seeping up around our entire yard since we had also a rather rapid melt.

Could this be from ground water?

Our sump pump is working and none of or drains have any issues, so I don't think it's a septic tank prob.

Thanks in advance!
Chuck

It may also condensation, if there are sufficient, stagnant air, temperature shifts in that area.

We are going going to put another corner shower there. Should we spray any coating on that area?

If you have a perimeter drain around the outside is is often just below the level of the floor.
At this point it is just a guessing game. But any fixes would not include sealing anything here.
If it is a problem, the fix would be a new perimeter drain either inside or out below the floor level.

Most concrete allows a little bit of moisture through. Where the concrete is exposed to air, it evaporates before it is noticeable. But where it is covered by a shower pan for instance, the concrete can't breathe and you see the moisture. i bet it has dried up by now with no sign of a problem.
