I have an old center mounted doorknob that I can't remove. Pics are attached. Ive tried pressing in the open hole, but there appears to be no pin inside. Any thoughts?

When you turn the handle, does the hole spin around and locate itself on a location that you could press some sort of a detent? What about on the other side?
