I want to install new soft/pinewood floors in a lake shack. I want them painted a bright color enamel. Should I plan to paint them before installation or after?

Background:
This 25-year old shack, which hasn't been used in several years, has chipboard floors that are flaking, so it needs a new floor. I want cheap board floors, painted with enamel paint to go over the chipboard.

I would paint after. That way, you can't see the nail and when you nail it in and miss, you won't mess the paint job up.
